Saved Messages is a chat only you can see. Anything you forward or write there is stored in the Telegram cloud, so it is on your phone, your computer and any new device you log in to.

- On Android, open the side menu and tap Saved Messages.
- On iPhone, open Settings and tap Saved Messages.
- On any device, type Saved Messages in the chat search.
- You can pin it to the top of your chat list like any other chat.
2. How to use Saved Messages
- Forward any message, photo, file or link to Saved Messages to keep it.
- Write notes, drafts or reminders to yourself. You can also schedule a message there as a reminder.
- Files you save there stay in the Telegram cloud, so they open on every device where you are logged in.
3. Keep it organised
Since Telegram's Saved Messages 2.0 update, forwarded messages can be shown grouped by the chat they came from, like a list of small chats. Telegram Premium users can also add tags to saved messages and filter by tag.
4. Can deleted saved messages be recovered?
No. When you delete a saved message, Telegram removes it from its cloud, and the app warns that deleting cannot be undone. Telegram support cannot bring it back either.
- Check whether the original message still exists in the chat or channel you forwarded it from.
- Ask the person you got it from to send it again: deleting your copy does not remove theirs.
- Look in an export or backup you made earlier, as described below.
Be careful with apps or bots that promise to restore deleted Telegram messages. They cannot reach Telegram's cloud, and many of them ask for your login code.
5. Make a backup of what matters
- Install Telegram Desktop and open Settings, Advanced, Export Telegram data.
- Choose the chats and media you want to keep and start the export.
- Keep the export folder somewhere safe.
