The goal of a red-flag check is not to guarantee an outcome. It is to identify inconsistencies early enough to pause, ask for clarification or decline the order.
Identity red flags
- A username differs by one character from the official contact.
- The seller refuses to connect the conversation to a public profile or listing.
- You are moved repeatedly between accounts with different payment instructions.
- Urgency is used to prevent basic verification.
Evidence red flags
- A screenshot hides the identifier needed to match it to the offered asset.
- The listing year changes when you ask a specific question.
- An earliest visible post is presented as definitive creation proof without limitations.
- Age is claimed to guarantee reach, trust, activity or freedom from restrictions.
Payment red flags
- The price or destination changes without a revised written scope.
- The quote omits the exact item, delivery method or support term.
- You are told that asking questions will cancel the offer immediately.
Transfer red flags
- An admin role is described as channel or group ownership.
- The seller asks for unrelated account credentials or recovery codes.
- The offered item is substituted during the transfer without your confirmation.
What to do when something is unclear
Pause. Restate the item, claimed period, condition, total price, payment destination, transfer steps and support term. Continue only if the answers are consistent and acceptable. A buyer is always free to decline a mismatch.
