A second Telegram account: add it and switch in one tap.

You do not need a second app or a second phone for a second Telegram account. The official app can hold several accounts and keeps their chats and notifications separate.

1. Add a second account

1. On Android, open the side menu, tap the small arrow next to your name and choose Add Account.
2. On iPhone, open Settings, scroll to your accounts and tap Add Account.
3. On Telegram Desktop, open the menu and choose Add Account.
4. Enter the phone number of the second account and the login code.

2. Switch between accounts

• On Android, open the side menu and tap the account you want.
• On iPhone, press and hold the Settings tab, or pick the account in Settings.
• Each account keeps its own chats and notifications. Notifications show which account they belong to.

3. How many accounts can one app hold?

The app holds up to 3 accounts. Telegram Premium raises the limit to 4. To log out of one, switch to it and log out in its settings; the others stay.

4. Each account needs its own number

A phone number can belong to only one Telegram account, so two accounts with the same number are not possible. For a second account you need a second number, such as a second SIM or an anonymous +888 number bought on Fragment.

5. One account on two phones

The opposite also works: you can log in to the same account on two phones, a tablet and a computer at once. Log in on the second phone with your number; the code arrives in Telegram on the first one. Every device shows up under Settings, Devices.
