- Keep the brand word and add a short, meaningful suffix: news, hq, official, club.
- Avoid extra digits and underscores that people mistype.

How much is a Telegram username worth?
Real prices for usernames appear only on Fragment, the marketplace Telegram runs for collectible names. The checker reads Fragment for every name and shows:
- Last sale on Fragment: the price of the last sale, and its date.
- Highest bid or minimum bid: the name is on auction now.
- Price on Fragment: the owner sells the name at a fixed price.
A name that was never on Fragment has no public price: it is free to claim in the Telegram app, or a chat or account set it for free. Short names, common words and brand names sell for the most, and four-letter names exist only as Fragment collectibles. Amounts are in Gram (formerly TON), with a dollar value at Fragment's rate of the day.
A username vs an old channel
A username is only the public link; it does not change a channel's age or audience. If you want a channel that is not brand new, an old Telegram channel lets you set any free username after the transfer. Collectible short names are explained in Fragment usernames explained.

Why does Telegram say a username is invalid?
